Environmental Solutions and Service (ESS)

Environmental Solutions and Service (ESS) is a full service indoor environmental consultant company with certified indoor environmentalist on staff. We specialize in Indoor Air Quality Management in both commercial and residential markets.

ESS routinely performs indoor environmental assessments. Our approach is based on Building Science principles and guidelines, and we believe in utilizing our experience and expertise to diagnose the problem, suggest and perform the corrective actions. We only conduct samples when we find evidence of mold / fungi, or volatile organic gases (VOCS) existing within the property or to prove the property has a problem or is clean.

Our techniques allow us to determine the cause, evaluate the problem, suggest corrective action, and give recommendations to ensure that the problem does not reoccur. This approach allows us to effectively assess an environmental concern at an economical price.

Specifically in regard to new construction, we work with residential builders, commercial property developers and architects to help ensure that these properties are constructed to be moisture and mold free.

We also provide our crawl space encapsulation services to new construction and existing residential homes:

For existing residential homes, we work with local builders, home inspectors, homeowners, local air conditioning companies, pest control companies, commercial property managers, and allergists to help determine the cause and suggest an effective solution to their environmental problems.  When requested ESS can perform the work as well.

ESS was founded 22 years ago. Through the years we have maintained our central belief to provide overwhelming quality with outstanding customer service.

We have a degreed Mechanical Engineer on staff as well as a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC). These professional designations allow us to use building science to recommend and implement solutions to air conditioning, energy loss, moisture / mold, and allergy problems. They also allow us to make sure that we are not creating another problem by solving the current one. This is a common mistake, for example when a home is made too tight, restricting fresh air for the occupants.  This can lead to moisture, mold and bacterial issues for the occupants.
